Frances M Collins

Francis Marie Collins passed peacefully at home April 19, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Services will be held 4:00pm Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Calvary Baptist Church in Cisco. Under the direction of Kimbrough Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mitchell Cemetery.

Fran was born June 10, 1933 to Arnold and Arminta (Moffett) Baker in Cisco, Tx. Fran married John Hayward Collins on October 21, 1956.

Fran was a very devoted wife and loving mother. She always said that her family was her best friends. She loved to travel and would often take roads trips with family members for weeks at a time. She was an avid reader who loved anything pertaining to history. Fran was very compassionate and always wanting to make sure that everyone was taken care of. She will be missed by so many.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Bill Baker. Survivors are her loving husband of 60 years John of Flint, Texas, son Dale and wife Donna of Arp, Texas, daughter Tammie Hall of Paradise, Texas, and sister Jean Thompson of Florida.

Grandchildren: Jason Collins and wife Sarah of Jacksonville, Texas, Kailey Rawlings and husband Josh of Colorado, and Julia Hathaway of Tyler. 6 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephew.
