Grady Desmond Sproles

Grady Desmond Sproles, 68 of Rising Star, Texas passed away at his home August 29, 2017.

As per his wishes he will be cremated. Memorial Service to honor his life will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 31, 2017 officiated by Reverend Danny Reid at Kimbrough Funeral Home in Cisco, Texas.

Grady was born June 25, 1949 in Baird, Texas to Grady Ray and Bonnie Lee (Duncan) Sproles.

Throughout the years, Grady’s family made their home in both Texas and Oregon. He attended school in Lubbock, Texas through the 8th grade until his family moved to Oregon where he graduated from Stayton High School in May of 1969.

After graduating from high school, his family moved back to Cisco, Texas where he found work in the oilfield. Later in life, Grady met Celeste Pike and made a home in the Cisco/Abilene area raising two children, Richard and Michelle. As the years passed, Grady worked as a carpenter. This allowed him to freely move between Texas and Oregon because he was always able to find work with his hands. Health issues eventually brought Grady home to Texas where he peacefully passed from this life.

He is survived by sister Dorothy Sproles Webb (Henry Webb) of Cisco, Texas; sister Seba Sproles Ferguson of Slaton, Texas; brother Howard Lee Sproles of Stayton, Oregon; son Richard Bergeron of Anahual, Texas; daughter Michelle Mack of Salem, Oregon; and grandson Jeremiah Mack of Echo, Oregon.

He was preceded in death by his parents Grady and Bonnie Sproles; infant brother James Roy; infant sister Eloise; sister Doris Sproles Sowle and wife Celeste.
