Harvey Lawrence Johnson

Harvey Lawrence Johnson 91, of Cisco passed away at Hendrick Hospice Care in Abilene September 14, 2017. Graveside Service with Military Honors will be 2 P.M. Monday, September 18, 2017 at Long Branch Cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday evening 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at Kimbrough Funeral Home Chapel.

Harvey was born February 17, 1926 in Rising Star, Texas to Charles Edward and Ila (Hogan) Johnson. He served in the US Army during World War II and in the National Guard.  Harvey married Mildred (Huber) December 9, 1950 in Cisco, Texas. She preceded him in death February 17, 2011. Harvey owned and operated Johnson Motors for over 60 years, the last 56 years at the present location, and the last 40 years working with his son Bobby.

He is survived by his son; Robert (Bobby) Johnson of Cisco, daughters; Barbara Sessums and husband Buddy of Abilene and Deborah Maston of Mineral Wells, Texas. Daughter-in-law; Elaine Robertson of Cisco. Brother; Thomas Johnson of Burleson, Texas. Eleven grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Mildred, son David, granddaughters: Melissa Sessums Bratton and Tiffany Johnson, sister: Velma Gregg and brother Floyd Johnson.
