John Torres Jr.

 John Torres, 90, of Cisco Texas passed peacefully from this life on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at his home in Cisco.  Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, November 24 at Kimbrough Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Cisco officiated by Father Reehan S. Antony.  Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Kimbrough Funeral Home.  

John was born June 24, 1927 in Cisco, Texas to John Torres, Sr. and Alvina (Vargas) Torres.  He lived in Cisco his entire life.  John married Margaret Tolentino on May 5, 1945 in Cisco, Texas.  John was a cook at the Savoy Café for several years and also worked at Burgess Industries for many years until his retirement.  John was a faithful member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Cisco and a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. 

John is survived by his son Joe Torres and wife Mary of Farmers Branch, Texas, daughter Eloise Seymour and husband Peter of Irving, Texas.  Nine Grandchildren:  Yolanda Torres, Mary Jo Christensen, Sarah Price, Teresa Sneed, Andrea Gaeta, John Gaeta, Jessica Gaeta, Abigail Seymour and Rebekah Seymour.  Four great-grandchildren:  Allison Price, Hayden Price, Autumn Frazier and Brayden Gaeta and sister Rose Garces and husband Gilbert.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Margaret Torres, daughter Helen Torres Gaeta, sisters Julia Torres, Alvina DeLara, Bessie Torres and Louisa Torres.
