Nell (Surles) Simmons

Nell Surles Simmons,104, of Fort Worth, Texas, formerly of Cisco passed away February 8, 2017. Graveside Service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Oakwood Cemetery in Cisco under the direction of Kimbrough Funeral Home.

Nell was born October 17, 1913 in Dothan, Texas to parents Robert Moreland and Martha (Short) Surles. She attended schools in Cisco and also attended secretarial school. Nell married James H. Simmons in 1944, he preceded her in death July 19, 1996. Nell worked as an office manager for Dr. Pugh. She attended Sagamore Hill Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas.

Survivors are: Nephew Phillip Surles and wife Jean of Malakoff, Texas; Niece Joyce A. Martin of Fort Worth, Texas; Nephew David Pippen of New Mexico; Nephew Doug Longacre of Abilene, Texas; Nephew Jim Bob Surles of Austin, Texas; Nephew Bill Smith of New Mexico and Niece Gloria Turner of Cisco, Texas.
