Orval Ray Latham

Orval Ray Latham 83 of Longview, Texas passed away August 19, 2019. Graveside service with Military Honors will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Oakwood Cemetery in Cisco, Texas. Visitation will be Friday evening August 23, 2019 at Kimbrough Funeral Home in Cisco, Texas 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.

Orval was born October 13, 1935 in Las Cruces, New Mexico to Arthur Wylie and Fannie Viola (Thacker) Latham. He enlisted in the US Army in 1953 and retired in December 1973. He also worked for Halliburton Resources for 17 years after retiring from the service. Orval married Laverne (Votaw) January 2, 1956 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. 

Survivors are his daughters C. Renee Coates and husband Bill of Lindale, Texas and Terry Williams and husband James of Chandler, Texas. seven Grandchildren: fifteen Great Grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews; two brothers Grady Latham of Cisco, Texas and  Louie Latham  of Las Cruces New Mexico sisters Bonnie May of Atwood, Oklahoma and  Lottie Stacy of Morris, Oklahoma.  

Preceded in death by his Parents Arthur and Fannie Latham wife Laverne Latham, son Allen Wayne Latham, two brothers Gene Latham and Jackie Latham and a sister Virginia Green.
