A.C Ashley

A.C. Ashley 82, of Scranton joined his Heavenly Father during the early morning hours on Tuesday, August 30, 2022. A.C. was born March 20, 1940 in Waller, Texas to Charles Burrell and Ola Alberta (Pope) Ashley. 

A.C was a master plumber which he retired from in 2001.  He always enjoyed gardening and his fruit trees.  From an early age A.C. enjoyed hunting, fishing and all things outdoors.  In later years he enjoyed teaching anyone who would listen how to hunt and fish and always knew all the good spots to make sure they were successful.  

He married the love of his life, Mayrene (Fehrle) on January 14, 1989. Then, soon after AC retired they moved to Scranton Tx. Here they made many good memories together fishing and hunting and doing what ever they pleased. He cherished his times with his family and friends but his grandchildren brought him extra joy.
 
Survivors are his wife Mayrene Ashley of Scranton, Children; Lisa Bremer and husband Stanley of Waller, Texas, Paige Nance and husband Paul of Spring, Texas., Lonnie Stallones Jr. of Scranton, Texas., and Donald Stallones and wife Megan of Magdalena, New Mexico.
Sister-in-law; Connie Barnett and Bubba of Tomball, Texas.
Grandchildren: Kyle Bremer and wife Jennifer, Dr. Keith Bremer, Kathryn Prior and husband Jacob, Trevor Nance and wife Alesa, Austin Stallones and wife Sarah.
Great Grandchildren: Zachary Bremer, Richard Bremer, Dyllan Bremer, Blair Prior, Trenton Stallones, and Kane Stallones.
 
A.C. was preceded in death by his parents, Burrell and Alberta Ashley, one brother; Charles Ashley Jr and his wife Dorothy, one sister; Kathleen Clark and one grandson Garrett Stallones.

The family would like to express sincere gratitude to Kipi and all the fine folks at Solaris Hospice.

Graveside service will be at 11:00 am Friday morning, September 2, 2022 at Monroe Cemetery 646 CR 137 in Eastland County, officiated by Reverend Dwayne Clower. Internment under the direction of Kimbrough Funeral Home in Cisco, Texas.
