Anita Pearl Baker

Anita Pearl Baker went to be with the Lord Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at the age of 86.

Anita was born April 21, 1937 in Lexington, Texas to Ernest (Tuz) and Almedia Woodruff Barker. She married Wiley Wilburn Canada.  She was a special lady, who loved everyone and never met a stranger. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and  great great-grandmother

Anita was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Almedia; her oldest son, Lynn; sisters Oma, Ernestine, Billy, Nelda, Patsy Jo and Peggy; two grandchildren  and two great-grandchildren.

Survivors include sons Rodney Canada of Eastland and David Canada of Cisco; daughters Teresa Caffey of Ranger and Candy Canada of Abilene; 16 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 16 great great-grandchildren.

Her wishes were to be cremated.  A memorial gathering is planned from 3:00 to 6:00 PM Sunday August 27, 2023 at the Myrtle Wilks Community Center, 1498 I-20 Frontage Road in Cisco.  She will be laid to rest in Megargle.
