Arlon B. Gary (AB), 88 entered into his heavenly home August 20, 2022.
Arlon was born January 9, 1934 in Baird, Callahan County Texas to Loyd B. and Marylee Gary and a family of eight siblings.
Arlon left home an early age to work in the oil fields of Texas and New Mexico, that led him to Farmington where he settled down and married his love, Berna Don (Chubby) Hicks.
They were married for 27 years until her death due to a lengthy illness in 1981. They raised two daughters, Mitzi Shayeen Williams Las Vegas, Nevada. And Sherry Lynn Fahrion (Jay) Thousand Palms, California.
Arlon continued his career in the oilfield and related fields in the San Juan County, and Northern New Mexico. His path took him to the Northern slopes of Alaska to work on the pipeline in the 60s and 70s and the early 80s.Returning to Farmington, started Gary Trucking and working along with his two brothers, JL, and Tommy leasing their trucks to Giant refinery, upon leaving Giant, he leased his truck to Thrift Way Refinery…finally calling it quits! And a career in the oil field that spanned over 50 years. He retired to Cisco Texas to be with his brothers and sisters, settling there for the past 23 years.
Arlon is survived by; Sisters Joyce Marton of Baird, Texas JoAnn Gray of Eastland Texas, brothrs Jimmy L. Gary and wife Mary of Bloomfield, New Mexico and Tommy Gary and wife Sharon of Harrah,Oklahoma, six grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren to carry on his legacy.
He was preceded in death by his parents Loyd B and Mary Lee Gary, sisters Raynell Duncan and Virginia Stoker. Brothers, William (Bill) Gary and Durevon (DA) Gary. Grandchildren; Kristen Fahrion and Andrew Fahrion.
No services are planned. A private burial at a later time in the Admiral Cemetery in the family plot.
