Billy Couch Obituary

Billy James Couch 89 of San Antonio, Texas formerly of Cisco, Texas passed away peacefully October 13, 2021. James was born April 29, 1932 to James Stephen Couch and Mildred (Phillips) Couch in Waxahachie, Texas. He attended schools in Cisco, Levelland, Cisco Junior College, McMurry University, Hardin Simmons and Howard Payne.

James was employed at Cisco Independent School District for many years as a Teacher, Coach, Principal and Superintendent until his retirement. James married Joy Nell (Lenz) on October 25, 1952 in Cisco, Texas and was a member of First Baptist Church. He also was involved with the Lions Club.

Survivors are a daughter Tracy Ingram and husband John of Helotes, Texas. Son Stephen Couch of Burleson, Texas. Grandchildren: Hannah and Hattie Hughes of San Antonio, Texas. Two Great Grand Children: Charles and Simone Trevino of San Antonio, Texas.

As per his wishes James was cremated.
