Bobby Glen Johnson

Bobby Glen Johnson passed away on January 16, 2023, at the age of 79. Bobby was born on August 22,1943, in Dallas County, TX to Joe Johnson and Juanita (Carter) Johnson.

Bobby graduated from Irving High School and attended Cisco Jr. College where he played baseball. While at Cisco Jr. College, he met the love of his life, Patsy. They celebrated 59 years of marriage in July 2022.

Bobby also proudly served his country in the United States Airforce. Bobby’s career centered around his great love for fishing. He owned a tackle store in San Antonio, was a professional bass fisherman with Team Daiwa, and was a factory representative to Bass Pro Shops for 20 years for many well-known brands. One of his favorite memories was of time spent teaching children to fish. In addition to fishing, Bobby found great joy in rebuilding classic cars, collecting Coca Cola memorabilia, singing along to hits from the 50s and 60s, and playing slots at the casino. Bobby loved to make people laugh and had a generous heart. If you needed it and he had it, it was yours.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers John Hambrick, Burrell Hambrick, Wallace Johnson, and sisters Nita Fay Thorne and Martha Jo McDonald.

Survivors include his wife Patsy Johnson of Cisco, TX, son Shawn Johnson of Cisco, TX, daughter Shannon Johnson-Hendricks of Glenn Heights, TX, grandchildren Devin and Alexis Johnson, Kendall and Casey Haynes, Malori Hendricks, Katie Johnson, and Maci Hendricks, great-grandchildren Clifford Haynes and Heather Haynes; brothers Royce Johnson and wife Sandra, and Gary Johnson and wife Genita. 

Visitation will be held at Kimbrough Funeral Home in Cisco, TX on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. followed by a celebration of life service at 1:30 P.M.
