Calvin Ray (C.R.) McQueen, 62, passed away peacefully in his home in Eastland, Texas, and entered his heavenly eternal home on March 26, 2021.
Calvin was born to Nathan and Wanda McQueen on July 15, 1958, in Knox, Texas. He spent most of his early years in East Texas. He moved to West Texas as a young man and began working various jobs in the oil field, including roustabout, derrick hand, driller, tool pusher, and equipment operator. He then became an over-the-road truck driver, traveling many miles all across the United States. Calvin was an outdoorsman with a love for fishing, hunting, boating, and riding motorcycles. He was a jack-of-all-trades. Calvin will be remembered for his unique way of telling stories and teaching life lessons. He will be dearly missed by all who loved him.
Calvin is survived by his wife, Nancy McQueen; daughter, Angela Hunt and husband, Bryant; daughter, Heather Villarreal and husband, Edmundo; son, Bradley McQueen; stepson, Matthew Prickett; stepson, Michael Gill; stepson, Ryan Johnson; grandchildren, Samantha Hunt, Silas Villarreal, and Charlie Villarreal; brother, Donald McQueen and wife, Shelly; brother, Mark McQueen and wife, Shirley; sister, Elaine Hosler and husband, Paul; half-sisters, Rahnda Rae McQueen and Nora Lorina McQueen Hunt; incredibly close loved ones, Amber Tucker and her children who became “adopted grandchildren,” Tessa Cates, Tristen Cates, Memphis Tucker and Fenix Mills, and many other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and two infant siblings, Steve and Charlotte.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm on March 30, 2021, at Kimbrough Funeral Home in Cisco, Texas. Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 am on March 31, 2021, at Daugherty Street Church of Christ in Eastland, Texas, with Brother Larry Roberts Officiating. Burial will take place at 2:00 pm on April 1, 2021, at Long Cemetery in Cumby, Texas, with Carl Nichols Officiating.
