Carl Willard Bray

Carl Willard Bray, 72, of Cisco, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on November 5, 2022. He was born to Ellis and Frances Bray in Dallas, Texas, on September 24, 1950. Carl grew up in Cedar Hill, Texas where he graduated high school in 1969.  After graduation, Carl went to East Texas State University (now Texas A&M at Commerce) where he received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Physics.  Carl met his future wife and mother of his 3 boys on the tennis courts of East Texas University. 
Carl married Betty Brewer on August 25, 1973 and moved to Cisco, where he worked as a Physics professor at Cisco Junior College for 45 years.  Carl was a loving and loyal husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He was a problem-solver who enjoyed a good challenge. When he wasn’t in the stands cheering on his grandchildren, Carl loved to travel and play golf.
Carl is survived by his wife of 49 years, Betty Bray, his three children Daniel Bray (Joyce Bray), Travis Bray (Ashley Bray), and Jason Bray (Lauren Bray), his loving grandchildren Rit Hanley, Jami Hanley, Chase Wolfe, Hunter Wolfe, Spencer Bray, Lane Bray, Morgan Bray, Kaden Bray, Braxton Bray, and Brooklyn Bray, and his great-grandchildren Madi Hanley, Steele Hanley, and Parker Bray. A visitation will be held Friday November 11, 2022 from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at Kimbrough Funeral Home
