Carlton Wayne Brown of Brownwood died Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at the age of 83.
Born September 27, 1941 in Cisco, to Carlton and Christine Estes Brown, he went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree from North Texas State Unversity in 1962. On September 8, 1962 he married Judy Beth Harper at the First Baptist Church in Cisco. The couple was married 60 years before she preceded in him in death in 2022.
Wayne was a high school teacher in Dallas and then became the star employee at the Upjohn/Pfizer Pharmaceutical Company for 20 years. He was a multiple award-winning sales representative and their top medical science liaison. He then went on the help pioneer the field of electro-medical technology as a nationwide executive.
He loved hunting, football and making friends. He was to his sons and wife, the best man who ever lived.
He was preceded in death by his wife Judy, his parents and cousin Kathleen Watson.
Survivors include sons Marcus Wayne Brown of Brownwood and Tyson Harper Brown of Georgetown; brother Jimmy Brown and wife Roberta of Carbon; sister Neva Dobbins and husband Roger of Marlin; cousins Pat Ratcliff, Shirley Tucker, Pat Thomas, Charleen Campbell, and Linda Russell; and longtime friend Charles Tarr of Brownwood.
A visitation will be held at Kimbrough-Jacobs Funeral Home Monday, June 9, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
