Caroline Doris Gattis

Caroline Doris Gattis of Cisco left this life Monday, March 17, 2025, at the age of 84.

She was born July 5, 1940 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After growing up in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, she moved to Ft. Worth in 1960.  She married Paul Eldress Gattis Sr. In Louisiana, and the couple moved to Cisco in 1988.  Caroline was straightforward, was a wonderful mother and a terrific cook, working at the White Elephant Truck Stop, Red Star Cafe, Brown Sanitorium and the nursing home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Eldress Gattis, Sr, Phillip Nelson Gattis, four brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include sons Paul Eldress Gattis, Jr and William Floyd Gattis; stepdaughters Melissa Rose, Melody Faith, Cora Eve and Lori Renee; three grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; and sisters of the heart Ruby Sherman and Theresa Bales.

A graveside memorial will be held Thursday, March 27, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Mitchell Cemetery.
