Cecil J Maples

Cecil Junior Maples, 91, of Cisco passed from this life December 28, 2019. Cecil was born September 13, 1928 in Romney, Texas the son of Cecil Raymond and Vercie Maye (Long) Maples. After Graduating from school C.J. joined the United States Navy and served his country. He worked for many years hauling cattle for Parker Trucking in Breckenridge. C.J. Married Bettye Luella Smith September 16,1990 in Brown county, Texas and they made their home in Cisco. He was a member of the Victory Assembly in Cisco.

Survivors include his wife Bettye of Cisco; children Jay Maples and wife Rebecca of Cisco, Linda Witt and Husband Jackie of Cisco, Charles Maples and wife Sandy of Temple, and Brenda Harrison of Cisco. Step-Children are Judith Page and William Chadwick and wife Susan all of Dover, Tennessee. There are two sisters Carolyn Burns and Husband Tim of Abilene and Dorothy Ann Ake also of Abilene; Twenty grandchildren, forty seven great grandchildren and thirteen great great grandchildren

Preceding him in death were a son John Wayne Maples and a step-son Dale Chadwick and siblings Alton Maples, Jimmy Maples, Faye Mauldin and Veda Mae Williams and one great grandchild Zachary Witt.
