Daniel Vilney Cantu

Daniel Vilney Cantu 59, of Cisco passed away August 6, 2021. Danny was born September 23, 1961 in Victoria, Texas to John Daniel and Sandra Ann (Rutledge) Cantu. He was a high school graduate and a self- employed handyman.

Daniel graduated from Stroman High School in Victoria, Texas and attended Cisco Junior College for 2 years. He was a member of The Key Club in high school, ran track and pole vaulted and was the highest honor of Eagle Scouting. Daniel enjoyed kayaking and playing frisbee with his dogs. Danny Vee lit up the room, everyone that knew him loved him.

He is proceeded in death by his Father John Daniel Cantu, his brother Russel Cantu (Rusty), his half- brother Kevin Cantu, and his daughter Lacy Rodriquez. Paternal Grandmother Mary Cantu of Victoria, Texas along with his maternal Grandparents Kelsie and Frank Young of Cisco, Texas (Little Momma and Daddy Frank)

Survivors are his mother Sandra Ann Cantu of Cisco, his Sister Leslie Simmons and a half-brother Ashley Cantu. Daughter Kelsie Cantu and his grandchildren who he loved dearly Hayes and Saylor Starr, Layla, Blaiz, Wyatt Daniel and Jenna. Nephew Corey Reaney and wife Sophia. Great nephews Trace and Vance and great niece Penolope of Temple, Texas.

Danny wishes were to be cremated.  A memorial service to honor his life will be announced at a later date.
