David Wesley Hood

David Wesley Hood passed away Sunday, November 2, 2025, at the age of 81.

David was born August 17, 1944 in Sherman to Clifford and Lois Hood. After graduating high school, he worked as a Plater for an aircraft company for 30 years.

He and his wife, Sandra were married 42 years before her passing in June of 2025.

David loved his wife, family and cats. Hot rods were his passion.

He was preceded in death by his wife Sandy and a grandson, Jason Hood.

He is survived by his children, Sharron McCartney and Steve Hood, and grandsons Christopher Hood and Jacob Hood.

A memorial honoring David will be held Friday, November 7, 2025, at 2:00 PM at  The Woodlands Assisted Living Center, 125 Inspiration Blvd in Eastland.
