David Larry Payne

David Larry Payne, 83, of Cisco passed away in his home Wednesday November 13, 2019. Funeral Service will be 10: 00 A.M. Saturday November 16, 2019 at Bible Baptist Church officiated by Reverend Stephen Forester and Reverend Vernon Payne. Burial will be at Mitchell Cemetery under the direction of Kimbrough Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be Friday 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Larry was born in Callahan County, Texas on April 10, 1936 to Melvin Benjamin and Annie Viola (Lisenbee) Payne.  Larry married Wanda Lee Rogers on August 7, 1954 in Cisco, Texas .He worked as a truck driver for many years and then worked as a welder. He enjoyed singing and playing his guitar and he had been a song director at Bible Baptist Church for over 20 years.

Larry was preceded in death by both parents, brothers; Garland and Ronnie. Daughter; Joy Lynette Brown and son David Payne.

He is survived by his wife Wanda of 65 years, two daughters Cheryl Lindsay of Midland and Karen Self of Cisco. Ten grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Sister Jessie Wright of Roscoe, Brothers Wesley Payne and wife Shirley of Cisco and Lonnie Payne of Cisco. Vernon Payne and wife Sheila of Mena, Arkansas and Rex Payne and wife Brenda of Cleveland, Texas, and a foster son Ricky Melton of Arkansas and many nieces and nephews.
