Drew Dan Jackson, 92, formerly of Eastland County, passed from this life February 12, 2024 at his home in Carthage, Texas. He was born May 28, 1931 in Carbon, Texas to the late Archie and Jewell Jackson and was one of nine siblings. He grew up on a peanut farm and peach orchard, and was himself a peanut farmer as well as rancher in Eastland County until his retirement. He served his country in the US Army in Korea, and married Bertie Mae Donham, of Cisco, on April 14, 1956. He loved his Lord and church, his family, woodworking, and telling stories.
He is greatly loved and missed by his loving wife of 67 years; three children, Alan Jackson and wife Debbie, Cindy Rodgers and departed husband Mike, and Steve Jackson and wife Annissa; seven grandchildren, Renee and Matt Frances, Mike and Natalie Jackson, Eric Jackson, Lisa and Jackson Rowan, Lori Rodgers, Drew Curtis Jackson, and William Jackson. He is also survived by ten great grandchildren and sisters Betty Jackson of Dallas and Pat Sims of Graham.
A funeral service will be held Friday, February 16, at First Baptist Church of Cisco, TX at 10 am, with Ronnie White officiating. Graveside will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Cisco.
Pallbearers will be Matt Frances, Mike Jackson, Eric Jackson, Jackson Rowan, Drew Curtis Jackson, and William Jackson.
