J D Wilson

J.D. Wilson 93 of Eastland went home to his Lord and Savior January 20, 2021.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 25, 2021 at Kimbrough Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Brian Kelly. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Cisco, Texas. Visitation with family will be Sunday evening 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

J.D. was born September 17, 1927 in Stanton, Texas to parents John Franklin and Dovey (Davis) Wilson. He was a high school graduate and also attended Cisco Junior College. J.D. served in the U.S. Army. He was employed by Lone Star Gas Company and retired in January 1994. J.D. married Fay LaFern Crowder June 7, 1944. She preceded him in death November 26, 2011. He was a deacon in the First Assembly of God Church in Athens, Texas. And a former member of the Rotary Club in Athens, Texas. He also coached baseball, Little League and Pony League in Eastland.

Left to cherish his memories are his children Sharon Kay Moylan and husband Jim of Eastland, Texas, Treva Mae Hedrick and husband Ronnie of Cisco and Larry Eugene Wilson and wife Gloria of Seguin, Texas.  Nine grandchildren, Twenty-Six Great Grandchildren and Three Great-Great Grandchildren.
