James Emil Winge

James Emil Winge 77, of Cisco was called to his Eternal home to be with his Lord and Savior on August 13, 2022. James was born August 24, 1944 in Cisco, Texas to Henry Emil and Helen Irma (Agnew) Winge. He attended school in Cisco.  James was a life long farmer, fence builder, loved his cattle and goats. He loved watching his granddaughter Kilye show her cattle and was very proud of her for her accomplishments.

James provided janitorial service and lawn mowing service at the Southwestern Bell Telephone offices in Cisco, Eastland, Ranger, Strawn, and Gordon Texas for some 25 years plus. 

James was a life long member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Cisco where he served as a faithful hard-working trustee, he was always willing to mow lawns, trim hedges, help set up and take down the nativity set each year at Christmas. He was “the keeper of the keys” and usually the last one to leave church on Sundays making sure all the lights had been turned out and doors had been locked.

James married Janice Faye Long July 29, 1977 in Cisco, Texas. Janice preceded him in death on January 31, 2019. James and Janice would have celebrated their 45th Anniversary this year.

One Granddaughter Kilye Winge of Cisco, Texas.
Brother; David Winge of Cisco, Texas 
Sister; Myrtle Hall of Santo, Texas
Many nieces, nephews and friends.
James was preceded in death by his parents Emil and Helen Winge and by his wife Janice.

Visitation with family will be Wednesday evening 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Kimbrough Funeral Home in Cisco, Texas.

Funeral Service will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, August 18, 2022 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1709 Conrad Hilton, Cisco, Texas. Officiated by Reverend Bill Dasch. Internment will be at Redeemer Lutheran Cemetery on CR 169, Cisco, Texas, under the direction of Kimbrough Funeral Home.
