Janie Marie Celani

Janie Marie Celani left this life Saturday, September 14, 2024, at the age of 74.

Janie was born December 30, 1949 in Abilene to Fred and Vada Collums Wilson.  She married William Joseph Celani.  Janie was a strong woman, beating breast cancer in 2010, losing her beloved grandson in 2019, and her husband in 2022. She fought a long, hard battle throughout life and always came out smiling.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William, and grandson Jason Allen Hood.

Survivors include her daughter, Sharron McCartney and son Steve Hood; grandchildren Christopher Hood and Jacob Hood; nieces Lynn Townsend, Cindy Johnson, Julie Albright, Terry Sanders, Bobbie Martin and Gavernia Gloyd; and nephew Shane Ellison.

Graveside services led by family will be 3:00 PM Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Corinth Cemetery, with a reception to follow at the family home.

Pallbearers will be Billy McCartney, Jesse Langston, Cody Baker, Donald Townsend, Steven Townsend and Shawn Townsend.
