Jeanne (Hansen) Lee

Norma Jeanne Lee ,90, of Cisco passed from this life Friday in Abilene. She was born June 30, 1930 in Murray,  Iowa Jeanne’s Parents: Albert Arthur Hansen of Exira, Iowa and Lillian Susannah Gorr Hansen of Murray, Iowa. While she attended Cisco Jr College, she met the love of her life James Garland (Jimmie) Lee who she eloped with January 1, 1948, and set out on a career working for Dr Ball, and as a wife and mother. Jeanne loved going to stock shows, with her family and now watching her great grandkids show. She tried her best to make every single sporting event for her kids and grandkids with basketball being her favorite. She hated to miss any games. So much so that even the last few years of her life she would use her step stool to be able to get into the truck.  She loved and cared for not only her kids but many adopted kids over the years. She made sure no one ever left her house with an empty stomach. She was one of the best cooks although she never used an actual recipe. She loved sweets and you never knew what she might throw in one of her desserts. One of her grandkids favorite hobbies was arguing about who was the favorite. She lived her life for her family. She sure was stubborn, but that made her the person we all knew and loved so dearly.

She is survived by her children: Tommie and Cathy Lee, Bobby and Sharon Lee, Frank and Caddye Claborn , and Russ and Caryn Greene
