Jerry Don Douglas

Jerry Don Douglas, 83, of Cisco passed from this life Friday in an Abilene Hospital. Jerry was born in the Scranton community of Eastland County on March 15, 1937 the son of Robert Younger and Blanch Juanita (Jessup) Douglas. Jerry attended school at Scranton Academy leaving before graduating to work as many did in those years. He spent his life working life as a welder in the oilfield and construction. On August 15, 1958 Jerry married Sondra Grey Norvell and they currently lived in Cisco. He was a very loving Husband and Father and Grandfather. He worked hard all his life to make sure his family had everything they needed. He always told them how much he loved them. He had a heart of gold would help anyone at anytime. He made many good Friends through his lifetime. He will be missed by all.

the family and friends will gather at the Norvell lot at  Oakwood Cemetery for a Memorial Service Saturday October 17.

Survivors Include: his wife Sondra of Cisco , his children Sheri Sandefer and husband Jack of Cisco, Son Scott Douglas, of Cisco, Trey  Douglas and wife Cathy of Lewisville. Siblings are Clyde Douglas and wife Kitty of Hurst, James Douglas and wife Ollie of Angleton, Betty Moore of Granbury, brothers-in-law Mickey Norvell and Bob Beaver both of Hawaii.  Grand children are Jack Sandefer, Jessie Sandefer, Trace Douglas and a Great Grandson Zaykk Sandefer.

According to Jerry’s wish he will be Cremated.
