Jerry Don White of Cisco passed away Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the age of 80.
Jerry was born October 10, 1945 in Ralls to Melvin and Rosa White. He grew up in Ranger and began working at Feather Lite until he was drafted into the United States Army in 1965. He served two years, with one year being in Vietnam.
He married Shirley Harrell in 1968, and the couple later moved to Cisco, where Jerry began working at Press Steel until its closing. He then worked at Burgess Manning until its closing forced him into retirement at 68 years old.
Jerry enjoyed playing guitar with his Dad, uncle Troy and uncle Roy, metal detecting and working on lawn mowers.
He loved his family and was proud of his three children. He always said he wanted his first born to be a son, and a daughter born on his birthday. He was blessed with both as well as another daughter.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 57 years, Shirley White of Cisco; children John White and wife Suzette of Cisco, Bernice Ingram and husband Terry of Cisco and Donna Beaver of Throckmorton; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters Mary Coleman and husband Jack and Charlotte White; and brother Billy Ray White.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at Kimbrough-Jacobs Funeral Home, 300 W 9th Street in Cisco. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Oakwood Cemetery, with Jeff Ingram officiating.
