Julia Jane (Cannon) Crowder

Julia Jane Crowder at ninety-five years old passed away on December 21, 2022 and was welcomed into heaven by her Savior, Jesus Christ, and her husband, Oren Monk Crowder.  Jane was born in Cisco, Texas on February 1, 1927 to her beloved parents, Chuck and Jennie (Clack) Cannon.  She graduated from Cisco High School and raised her family in Cisco while also working at Motts Convenience Store.

Jane loved her family, especially her three children, Pat Johnson, Cathy Barber and Keith Crowder.  She found her calling when she became Nana to her four grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and six great, great grandchildren.  She knew seven generations of her family.

Nana was a lifelong reader of all types of books, and she continually read her Bible to deepen her faith.  She was a committed prayer warrior and faithfully served at her church.  When not at church, she was often found have a bite of something sweet, playing a very competitive game of Scrabble or piecing together a beautiful quilt.

Arrangements are pending with Kimbrough Funeral Home in Cisco, Texas with funeral services taking place on Wednesday, December 28,, 2022 at 2pm.  Mark Humphries, Shawn Johnson, Devin Johnson, Russell Gray, Ryan Bradley and Brock Robinson will serve as pallbearers.  You may stop by the funeral home on Monday or Tuesday to sign the condolence book for her family.  If you would like to make a gift to honor her, please donate to the Nazarene Church in Cisco, Texas.
