Katherine Pauline Kimball, age 93 of Cisco, Texas was called home to be with the Lord Sunday, May 31, 2020 in Abilene, Texas.
Katherine was born December 4, 1926 in Mexia, Texas to Annie Ruth (Goldson) and William Bear.
Katherine graduated from San Luis Abispo High School in California. She loved adventure and as a young adult she and a girlfriend took a road trip in a Ford sedan traveling and working in Arizona, Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado, Wyoming, Michigan, New York, Indiana, Chicago; wherever the road led them.
Katherine eventually met Joseph Richard Kimball in Louisville, Kentucky and married him on July 10, 1949. They made their home in Fort Worth, Texas.
One of Katherine’s first jobs in Fort Worth was for Montgomery Wards on 7th Street. She was responsible for filling customers’ orders which required she and her co-workers wear roller skates traveling from one end of the warehouse to the other gathering items to send downstairs. Katherine later worked at several nursing homes as both a Nurse Aide & Activity Director. She eventually retired as a sales associate from Gordon Boswell Flowers in Fort Worth.
Katherine is survived by her daughter, Jo Lynn Davis and husband Ricky of Cisco, Texas; her granddaughter Kasie Lynn Davis Whitley and husband Andrew of Lubbock, Texas; boyfriend Charlie Clary of Abilene, Texas and numerous friends from Wisteria Place Assisted Living in Abilene, Texas.
Katherine was preceded in death by her parents, Annie and William Bear, and husband Joseph Kimball.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the First United Methodist Church of Cisco where Katherine was a member.
