Kim Jay Joyce

 Kim Jay Joyce 63 of Waco, Texas passed into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, April 21, 2019. Funeral Service will be 2:00 P.M. Friday April 26, 2019 First Baptist Church in Rising Star, Texas officiated by Reverend Terry Simmons. Burial will be at Rising Star Cemetery under the direction of Kimbrough Funeral Home of Cisco. Visitation with family and friends will be Thursday evening 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church in Rising Star.

Kim was born March 29, 1956 in Brownwood, Texas to John Jay and Marita Joy (Weaver) Joyce. He attended school in Rising Star and was a graduate of Rising Star High School. Kim married Lisa Lynn (Cotton) December 14, 1990 in Brownwood, Texas. He was a self-employed turkey farmer. Kim was a loving and devoted husband, father, and son. He loved going to the farm in Meridian, hunting, fishing, riding on the the Ranger, BBQing, and boating at the lake with his family and friends. He was loud, jolly, had an unforgettable laugh, and a heart that touched everyone. 

Survivors are his wife Lisa of Gholson, Texas daughters, Kimberly Nicole Joyce and fiancé  Jacob David Pezzini, of Fayetteville, North Carolina and Briana Brook Joyce and fiancé Tristian Shawn Wooten of Waco, Texas. Father, John Jay Joyce and wife Martha of Rising Star, Texas. Brother, Kenton Jene Joyce and wife Anja of Conroe, Texas and John Kyle Joyce of Eastland, Step-brother, Paul Evans Thornton and wife Yvonne of Social Circle, Georgia. Step-sister, Malesa Ann Martinez and husband Lloyd of Rising Star, Texas.

Preceded in death by his mother Marita Smith.
