LaNelle (Hale) Anderson

Vada LaNelle Anderson, 89, died of natural causes Sunday, June 15, 2025, in Cisco with family by her side.

She was born Vada LaNelle Hale July 19, 1935 in Gorman, the daughter of T.L. (Smokey) Hale and Vergie (McGaha) Hale.

LaNelle was a graduate of Cisco High School and Cisco Jr. College. She worked for WTU and Sears in her early years. LaNelle married Alfred Anderson in 1956. They bought Hooker Jewelry where Al worked, and they ran Anderson Jewelry and Music until 2016.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Donald, and husband, Al.

She is survived by son Kendall Anderson (Leanne), son Kyle Anderson (Carol), ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, brother Arzell Hale (Connie), brother Ronald Hale (Connie), and sister-in-law Marcia Hale. LaNelle was a member of First Baptist Church of Cisco.

VIsitation will be 10:00 am Friday, June 20 at First Baptist Church Cisco, 202 W 9th Street, with funeral services immediately following at 11:00 am.
