Lana Jean Lynchard

Lana Jean Lynchard passed away Sunday, June 14, 2026, at the age of 65.

Lana was born April 20, 1961 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Redemis and Elizabeth Caston Reed.  She married James Lynchard on July 10, 1984 and they were together over 25 years before he preceded her in death in 2009.

She loved gambling, dancing, playing board games with her children and grandchildren, cooking, traveling and visiting her siblings.

She was a loving and dedicated wife and mother.

She was preceded in death by her husband James Lynchard, her parents Redemis Reed and Elizabeth Miller, brothers Mickey and Clark Reed, sisters Ellie Rautio, Dixie Stallings and Pearl Baseballe, and grandchildren Joeleene Velma Schlaepfer and Adrian Solis.

Survivors include daughters Michelle Manley of Azle, Lori Landreth and husband Paul of Cross Plains, Darla Northcutt and fiancé Michael Trujillo of Cross Plains, and Jaime Podrovitz and husband Tony of Merkel; grandchildren Andrew Mercado, Matthew, Sarah, Elizabeth, Eliana, Braydon, O’Ryan, Andrew, Anthony, Jackson and Jaydon; great grandchildren Jaime and Winter; sisters Darla Brock and husband Mike, Phyllis Ramirez and husband Rudy; brothers Tracy Reed and wife Dottie and Kerry Reed and wife Candy; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also survived by special friend Clint Turner.

Visitation will be 10:00 AM Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Kimbrough-Jacobs Funeral Home, 300 W 9th Street in Cisco, followed by services at 11:00 AM in the Kimbrough-Jacobs Chapel. Burial will be at Longbranch Cemetery.
