Lon Owens Duncan, Jr. passed away March 1, 2024, at his home in Ranger with his family by his side. Lon was born October 5, 1942 in Roswell, New Mexico. He was 81 years old.

Lon grew up in Rowden and attended school in Cross Plains. He worked in Cleburne at Johns Manville, and worked fixing appliances in Victory, Texas. He moved to Atlanta, Georgia to work as a handy man for real estate in-home repair. He moved back to Texas in 2015.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lon Duncan, Sr. and Norene Strickland Duncan; two brothers, Donny Duncan and Harmon Duncan; two sisters, Sue Duncan McBride Steddum and Doris Duncan; and sons Jessie Duncan and Kenneth Duncan.

Lon was married twice to Pat Moon Duncan Crambacker and Joyce Thurman Duncan.

Survivors include his sisters, Barbara Light and West Light of Cisco, Linda Duncan of Ranger, Betty Duncan Key of Corpus Christi, and Deana Duncan Roehr and husband Mitchell of Cisco; his son Dwayne Duncan of Ranger; daughter Christy Duncan Kerr; two grandsons and two granddaughters.
