Ricardo Salinas

Ricardo Salinas of Cisco passed away Sunday, December 8, 2024, at the age of 89.

Ricardo was born August 10, 1935 in Robstown, Texas to Delfina and Elosia Castillo Salinas. He married Dahlia Moreno December 5, 1956 in Frederick, Oklahoma. Ricardo  worked as a truck driver for Thornton Feed Mill in Cisco. He played guitar, liked to sing and loved all kinds of music. His wife and family were very important to him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dahlia Salinas; sons Ricardo Salinas Jr and Ruben Salinas; daughters Alice Salinas Bonney and Debra Salinas Whitehead.

Survivors include daughter Diana Riggs and Ronald of Cisco; sister Maria Munoz of Frederick, Oklahoma; grandsons Josh Whitehead of Cisco, Ricardo Salinas III of Oklahoma, Sterling Glenn Whitehead of Texas, Derek and Ashleen Riggs of Cisco, Ruben Whitehead of Texas , Aaron Whitehead of Texas, Steven Riggs of North Carolina, Duane and Bre Riggs of Cisco; granddaughters Latisha Bonney Drobits and Dave of Canada, Vanessa Spann of Texas, Jessica Bonney McKinnley and Chris of Texas and Rebecca Salinas Compton of Oklahoma; 34 great-grandchildren, four great great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 5:00 to 6:00 PM Monday, December 16, 2024, at Kimbrough-Jacobs Funeral Home, followed by Rosary from 6:00 to 7:00 PM.  Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1106 Ave F in Cisco. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. 

Memorial donations are suggested to Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church or St. Jude Cancer Research.
