Robbie John Smothers, Sr.

Robbie John Smothers, Sr., 54, passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at Eastland County Hospital.

Robbie was born August 21, 1968 in Rising Star to Richard and Patricia Hinton. He married Laurie Wright November 15, 2010.

The most important thing to Robbie was being with family. He loved his family dearly. He was a very hard worker. He loved to paint, work on cars and fix anything he could get his hands on. He also loved to fish.

Robbie was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Patricia Hinton and sister Tammy.

Survivors include his wife Laurie; son Robbie John Smothers, Jr. and daughter Angelica Stegens; brother Jamie Smothers, Sr.; uncle Tommy McGuire and wife Rita; cousins Joe Perry, Carol Perry and Randy Peacock; nephews Richard Petree, Danny (Bubba) Petree, Jamie Smothers, Jr. and Stormy Smothers; and nieces Patricia Petree, Savannah Petree, Lacey Petree and Amanda Smothers.

A graveside memorial will be held Monday, August 21, 2023 at 9:00 AM
