Ronald Dean Hunt

Ronald Dean Hunt, 72, of Cisco passed from this life Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at his home.  Ronald was born July 17, 1949 in Rising Star TX, son of Joe Bailey Hunt and Dorothy Jean (Bibby) Hunt.  He is a graduate of Rising Star High School and a veteran of the United States Army. He married Irene Sue Leatherman August 31, 1973 in Cisco, TX.  He worked for many years with Metro Golf Cars as a repair man, and later worked at Sterling monument in Eastland.  He was a member of the I-20 Church of Christ. 

Ronald was a loving grandfather and one of his greatest joys was watching his granddaughter's activities, games, and track meets.  He loved being outside and working the land at his home of over 40 years.  Country music, watching football, and travel were among his hobbies.  Above all, he worked hard to provide everything that his wife and sons ever needed.  He was loved by his family and respected by all that knew him.  He will be greatly missed - but never forgotten.

He is survived by wife Irene of Cisco, 2 sons: Jason Dean Hunt of Cisco, and Ryan Wilson Hunt and wife Chaunta of Clifton, TX.  Grandchildren Katelyn Hunt, Kyndall Hunt, and Alli Hunt. 
Sisters: Carolyn Walker and husband Douglas, Pam Cook and husband Johnny, Mother-in-law Elizabeth Leatherman, Sisters-in-law Phyllis Jones, Mary Leatherman, and numerous nieces and nephews 

Services will be Tuesday Jan 4, 2022 at 10:00 am at the I-20 Church of Christ in Cisco.  Burial will be at the Wayside Cemetery.  Visitation with family and friends will be Monday evening from 5pm-7pm at Kimbrough Funeral Home.
