Ronald Eugene Kearns

Ronald Eugene “Runt” Kearns of Cisco left this life Thursday, February 22, 2024, at the age of 75.

Ron was born November 6, 1948 in Independence, Missouri to Clyde and Evelyn Prather Kearns. After graduating high school, he attended Trade School. After many years owning his own heating and air conditioning business, he worked for Lake Cisco Christian Camp as the groundskeeper.

He was a member of the Cisco Church of Christ,  and his hobbies included riding his motorcycle, riding his bike and loving on his dog. Ron was a fun loving wild card who loved everyone. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Kim Cross.

Survivors include his brother, Kenneth Kearns and wife Charlene of Lewisville; sister Dana Kearns of Robert, Louisiana; son David Kearns and wife Cassie of Cisco and their four sons David, Doson, Dyson and Daxson; daughter Sam Scroggins and husband Kevin of Cisco and their five children Riley, Reid, Brooke, Daryan and Kaylynn; grandchildren Chrystal Tanner and husband Ryan, and Ronald Tanner, Jr. and wife Katrina; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 3:00 PM Sunday, February 25, 2024, at Kimbrough-Jacobs Funeral Home with Ken Cebrun officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.

The family suggests memorials to Lake Cisco Christian Camp and Oakwood Cemetery.
