Ronnie Ledbetter, a life-long business man and resident of Cisco, Texas, passed away on July 28, 2021 at the age of 76, peacefully surrounded by his family and loved ones.
Ronnie is survived by his son Chris and wife Tammy of Eastland; his brother Larry and wife Peggy of Cisco; and 4 grandchildren, Megan and husband Austin, Jacob and wife Alyson, Mindi, and Ella. Ronnie is preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Ledbetter, and son, James Ledbetter.
Ronnie was born on January 1st, 1945 to Jack and Leta Ledbetter in Gorman, Texas. He graduated from Cisco High School in 1963 and married his high school sweetheart, Peggy, in 1982. They had two sons, Chris and James.
Ronnie was a devoted husband, dad, and grandfather. He loved hunting, farming, ranching, traveling and spending time with his family. He was involved in many clubs and societies throughout his life time and loved serving the town of Cisco. He was a member of Board of Directors of First Financial Bank, Abilene Region; Director of First Financial Bank in Eastland from 2011-2017; He opened Ledbetter Insurance Agency in 1974; Vice President of Board of Regents of Cisco College; Board President of Cisco Economic Development Corporation; Former Mayor of Cisco; Former President of Cisco Lion’s Club, Cisco Rotary Club, and Cisco Chamber of Commerce; Former President of West Texas Brangus Breeders Association; Former president of Cisco Jaycees; And proud member of First Baptist Church in Cisco.
He was hard-working, smart, funny, a little hard headed, and just an all-around great person. He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
