Sandra Kaye Carr

Sandra Cosper Carr of Cisco passed peacefully, surrounded by family, during the early hours of Friday, May 5, 2023.  After a hard fought battle with cancer, she was healed and went home to her Savior.

Sandra was born November 17, 1947 in May, Texas to John Henry and Mattie Pearl Smith Cosper.  She attended Bangs High School with the class of 1966. She married B.W. Carr March 15, 1980.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She worked as a carrier for the postal service.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, B.W., brothers and sisters Malcolm Cosper, Virginia Nell Svetlik, Jack Cosper, Bonita Faye Stanley, Freddie Cosper, Jimmy Dean Cosper and Patricia King.

Survivors include son Jimmy Davis and wife Debbie of Eastland, and children Judy Berry of Covington, IN, grandchildren Kiva, Treva and Clay and 1 great-grandchild; Christopher Rowe and wife Diane of Graham, and grandchildren Madeline, Raylon and Josaphine; Christine Thomas of Ranger and grandchildren Kaylee, John Harris IV and Logan; Daughter Tina Kendall of Harper, and her daughter Jodi Esquell and husband Joseph of Harper and grandchildren Kylah and Tristin; Son John Davis and wife Kathy of Rising Star, and children Kevin Davis of El Paso; Alyssa Tovar of Brownwood, and grandchildren Mateo and Sophia; Aime’e Davis of Rising Star; Alec Davis of Rising Star; and many nieces and nephews.

Sandra will be greatly missed, and remembered for her big smile and humor that lasted right to the end as she found comfort in her eternal healing. She chose to be cremated and have a small family memorial at a later date.
