Stella Ann Wilson passed away peacefully on June 25, 2026 at The Ranger Care Center.
Stella was born on May 30, 1946 to Oscar Lee and Agnes Bell (Greenwood) Wilson in Olden Texas. She was the youngest of seven children, and earned the nickname “Tootsie” by her oldest niece who was five years younger.
Tootsie did not have children of her own, and claimed her niece’s and nephew’s as her “kids”. Whether it was taking them to the drive-in movie theatre in Ranger, or driving them around in her red 1966 mustang convertible, they always had a fun time with Aunt Tootsie!
After high school, Tootsie studied cosmetology and had several different careers, the last one working for Eastland ISD.
Tootsie was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, Bertha (Bert) Wilson, Troyce (Bud) Wilson, Lou Wilson Glosson, Jerry Wilson, John Wilson and infant brother, Burl Dean.
Left to cherish her memory is her longtime partner and companion Barry Hart, many nieces and nephews, along with several great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Those wishing to do so may donate to the charity of their choice in memory of Stella.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Eastland Cemetery Pavillion.
