Stephen Wayne Slaughter

Stephen Wayne Slaughter of Cisco left this life Sunday, October 1, 2023, at the age of 56.

Born in Fort Worth on August 18, 1967 to Richard Dee Slaughter and Lillie Myrtle Winge, he graduated from Brewer High School in White Settlement, Texas.  After graduation, he became a licensed electrician, working many years for Mira Enterprises in Eastland building Sonic Restaurants.

He enjoyed hunting, tractor pulls, welding and woodwork.  He loved pork chops and his sister’s cooking, except when she would make him try new things to eat.

Stephen was most definitely one of a kind with a big heart that was always ready to help anyone.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Dee Slaughter. 

Survivors include his mother, Lillie Myrtle Winge of Cisco; sister Virginia Gail Gassett and husband Jason of Cisco; daughter and son, Madison and Dakota Slaughter of California; uncle David Winge of Cisco; numerous cousins and a host of friends.

Stephens wishes were to be cremated.  A graveside memorial will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday October 8, 2023, at Redeemer Lutheran Cemetery, 979 County Road 169 Cisco.

The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association.
