Sulema (Solis) Pickett

Sulema Solis Pickett was called home to the waiting arms of Jesus January 28, 2022 at the age of 49. Sulema was born in Ranger, Texas on October 12, 1972 to Elia Garza and Raymond Solis. She attended school in Cisco and graduated from Cisco High School in 1991.

Sulema will be remembered as a kind hearted person who thought of others with the best intentions. She spoke her mind freely with no regrets. She was loud and liked to laugh. She gave her heart to cheer someone up and did all she could to help people who was in need of aid or advice. Selma was a good daughter, wife, mother, sister and aunt. She left us with good memories of laughter, life advice, good and bad, and many funny times. She will be missed by all who she inspired.

Sulema married Christopher Lee Pickett March 25, 2006 at Faith Baptist Church in Cisco, Texas.
Survivors left to cherish her memories are her husband Chris Pickett of Odessa, Texas. Parents: Elia and Raymond Solis of Cisco, Texas. Two children, Jose (Angel) Solis of Ranger, Texas and Jarred Kanister of Goodyear, Arizona.
Sisters: Susan Turman Longoria of Deritter, Louisiana and Veronica Ramirez. Brothers: Ephran Solis of Cisco and John Longoria and wife Katrina of Breckenridge, Texas.
Several nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Sulema was preceded in death by her grandparents, Nick and Jovita Garza and Rafael and Herten Solis. Four uncles and three aunts.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Kimbrough Funeral Home Chapel, 300 West 9th Street, Cisco, Texas. Burial to follow at Cross Cut Cemetery, 7 miles south of Cross Plains on Hwy 279.
