Tamara Halford of Cisco entered the arms of Jesus Saturday, November 4, 2023, at the age of 49.
Tamara was born in Eastland on September 13, 1974 to Tommy Holland and Patricia Robinson. She and Jimmy Harper had a son, Garrett. She later married Tony Ponce, and had a daughter, Juanita. She spent most of her life as a single mother, always putting food on the table, whether it was by mowing yards or other odd jobs. She went to work for the City of Eastland, and later graduated from Texas State Technical College May 1, 2009 as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. She held this certification until she passed. She retired from the State of Texas with over 10 years of service, and renewed her counselors license this year to be a traveling counselor.
Tamara loved arts and crafts and rock hunting. She was a picture taking queen, and master party planner. She attended Mangum Baptist Church and many others, always keeping her options open. She was one to help anyone, anytime, no matter the circumstances. She was one of the first girls to play football in Ranger, Texas. She was the most thoughtful gift giver, and absolutely loved being a grandmother. She always made sure the family got together, and took in everyone’s friends, who all called her “Mom”.
She was preceded in death by grandparents Lois and Richard Robinson, cousin Randy Robinson, uncle Mike Robinson, Step-dad Mike Garrison, sister Niki Halford, and grandson Leovonic Miller.
Survivors include her mother, Patricia Garrison of Carbon, brother Richard Halford Bivin, Texas, sister Martina Galicia of Carbon, son Garrett Harper of Cisco, daughter Juanita Miller and granddaughter Madison Miller of Carbon, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
