Wallace Joahn Grieger Jr., 70, of Irving, Texas, passed away on December 30, 2022.

Wallace was born at Carswell Air Force Base in Fort Worth, Texas, on October 27, 1952. He attended Eastland High School, in Eastland, Texas, until 1970 and he completed his studies at Cisco Junior College. He attended Dallas College North Lake Campus. He married Hazel Elnora Knight on May 22, 1971, at East Cisco Baptist Church, in Cisco, Texas.

Wallace worked in sales at Texas Rubber for many years, ultimately becoming a top seller at the company. Later he went on to have another career, as a Computer Technician for Assurant. He retired from Assurant in 2014. Hazel and Wallace were most recently members of Irving Baptist Fellowship Church. Wallace enjoyed several hobbies throughout his life. As a young man, Wallace was interested in music, and taught himself to play the guitar. He and his brothers-in-law would play together on family vacations. He enjoyed working with his hands, and took up woodworking. He also became an accomplished cook, and enjoyed grilling.

Wallace was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Dorothy Grieger; grandparents, Marcus and Burneice Grieger; sister, Sherry Norris; brother, Les Grieger; and brother-in-law, Al Rogers. Wallace and Hazel departed this life the same way they lived it, together, as they both died in their home on the same day.

Wallace is survived by his children, son, John Grieger and wife, Tabitha, daughter, Kelli Grieger, and grandchildren, Julie Grieger, Justin Grieger, Abram Grieger, Silas Grieger, Austin Falin, Kaylyn Falin Laws, Justin Falin, Shelby Ann Peace, Kerwin Pittenger, and Laurel O’Brien. He is also survived by a brother, James Grieger; two sisters, Joyce Roepke and Connie Carroll; brother-in-law, Billy Knight and wife, Shelley; sister-in-law, Mary Rogers; sister-in-law, Linda Burns and husband, Dale; sister-in-law, Sue Tabor and husband, Sy; along with numerous nephews and nieces.

The family will receive friends and family from 1 to 3 PM on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at the Kimbrough Funeral Home in Cisco, Texas, followed by a Memorial Service for both Wallace and Hazel Grieger at 3 PM. A private burial will be held at a later date in the Oakwood Cemetery in Cisco, Texas.
