Wanda (Jones) Gage

Wanda Jones Gage
Wanda gained her heavenly angel wings on November 26, 2022. She was born July 4, 1929 in
Huffstuttle Community, Texas, to Oswald Roy and Lillie Mae Funderburk Jones. Growing up
during the Great Depression and with very little money, Wanda and her siblings had to pitch in
tending livestock, growing food, and was taken out of school to pull cotton. She loved to tell
stories of good times with her sisters growing up. She graduated from Woodson High School in
1950. After graduating, she moved into a boarding house in Fort Worth and started working at
Convair, soon to be General Dynamics. She married the love of her life, Roy Edward Gage, in
1951. In 1956, they had a daughter Lana, and in 1960, they purchased land in Cisco, TX. After
working for 46 years Wanda retired in 1996, from what is now Lockheed Martin. In her free time,
she was an avid reader, enjoyed crossword puzzles, country music and most of all spending
time with her family.
Wanda was preceded in death by her Husband of 47 years Roy Edward Gage as well as her parents Oswald
and Lillie, brother Orvie Jones, sisters Lucille Otts, Norene Jones, Christine Alsup, Lois Miser,
Mona beard, Muriel Swing, Freda Phillips, Nina Jones, and Brother Rob Jones.
Left here to cherish their memories of Wanda, is daughter Lana Breedlove Parks and husband
Kirk, of Cisco, sister Gerry Gray of Tennessee, grandchildren Christie Dalton of Fort Worth, Tori
Jones and husband Jordan of Arlington, and Taylor Parks of Arlington. She leaves behind great
grandchildren, Jordan Ubinger of Cisco, Jaymeson Ubinger of Azle, Casey Dalton of Fort Worth,
Jack, Witten, and Clayton Jones of Arlington, and Olivia Parks of Arlington. Per Wanda’s
wishes there will be no formal service
