James Bertis Letney Jr.

James Bertis Letney, Jr., age 74, passed into the loving arms of Jesus August 21, 2017 at Eastland Hospital.

He was born March 9, 1943 in Huntsville, Texas, the first child of James Bertis Sr., and Velma Ruth Letney.

James worked as a finish carpenter for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and working in his yard.

He was preceeded in death by his parents and 2 brothers Robert Earl Letney and John Darryl Letney.

James is survived by one son James Bertis Letney III( Chuck) and one daughter, Charlotte Kay Townson and husband Corey. Grandchildren Caleb Townson, Erin Townson and Jenna Paige Letney. One brother Henry Stephen Letney and wife Cheryl and numerous nieces and nephews.

He will be cremated and there will be a memorial service later.

The family extends appreciation and heartfelt thanks to his nurse Angela Daily, his caregiver Grace Bush and to TriStar Home Care for making his last days easier.
