Doris June (Thompson) Reay

Doris June Thompson Reay, age 89, passed away on October 15, 2017 at Granbury Care Center located in Granbury, Texas while recovering from hip surgery. She was born on May 28, 1928 in Cisco, Texas to Virgil Lee Thompson and Ima Ellis Thompson and was the youngest of two children. She later married Thurland Reay. Doris nourished people around her with love, care, and faith throughout her life and was a regular attendee of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Eastland, Texas with many of her closest friends. Left to honor Doris and remember her love is her daughter, Gayle J. Goddard, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and dear friend Sandy Sanford. Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Thurland Reay, brother, Forest Thompson, and children David Reay, Rocky Reay, and Penny Reay. Funeral services will be held on November 03, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Oakwood Cemetery, Cisco, Texas 76437, with President Matthew B. Kempton officiating. The Reay family would like to extend our gratitude towards Granbury Care Center and Kimbrough Funeral Home for their attentiveness and loving care.
